You can run, but you cannot hide. It’s still amusing when suspects think they can hide from police officers in a residential area. Residents at 75th Avenue and Camelback Road contact Phoenix officers around 3:00 am Tuesday morning to report there were two men hiding in their house.
These same two men, Rocky Torres Jr., 21, and Steve Watson,20 had driven their car right into the living room of another house. According to the police, they jumped the back fence of where they left their car and broke into a second house where they tried to hide. The family of this home fled to
the bedroom and called the police.
When police arrived at the scene they heard gun shots. This was because the homeowners shot at the two suspects when they were fleeing the scene. Police set up a perimeter and eventually were able to take the two men into custody. Torres and Watson have been charged with “leaving the scene of an accident and burglary of a residential structure.”
Torres and Watson will be facing some serious charges and need to understand what will happen next.
If you or a loved one has become involved in an incident like this, it is in your best interest to consult with an attorney.
