In the Southwest Valley the Avondale police were able to arrest three teenagers that are suspects in an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday night.
It was around 9:00 pm last Tuesday night that a male conveyed to police that he was walking along Apache Street close to 107th Avenue. A car then pulled up and two adolescent males came out of the car, one holding a semi-automatic gun. The one holding the gun aimed it at the victim and commanded him to handover some property. The victim cooperated and the two men got back inside and they all drove off. The victim was not physically injured.
The three teenagers arrested in connection with this incident were booked at the Maricopa County Durango Juvenile Detention Facility and held for armed robbery charges.
It was extremely smart for the victim to have cooperated with the armed robbers. This incident could have left the victim serious injured.
