“He’s back in jail again,” Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said. “I don’t know why judges keep letting this guy out. Every time he goes in there, he gets out on bond. I’m hoping this is the one time he’s going to pay the penalty for his offense,” he added.
Arpaio is referring to Earl Simmons, better known as rapper DMX.
Saturday DMX was arrested at the Phoenix mall. He has been accused of giving a false name
and Social Security number in order to avoid paying a medical bill. This $7,500 bill was from the Scottsdale’s Mayo Clinic and under the false name “Troy Jones.”
Cameron Morgan, DMX’s attorney had no comments regarding these allegations. DMX has had quite a few run-ins with the law. Arpaio was prompted to begin looking into DMX after he was charged for animal neglect last year. He was arrested with charges of felony drug possession and misdemeanor of animal cruelty.
About 12 pit bull dogs were taken from his home and three dog remains were dug up from his yard. He’s been arrested for failure to appear in court and attempting to purchase marijuana and cocaine in the past.
