A suspect thought he found a perfect place to hide after running a way from a traffic stop last Wednesday, but it turned out to be the worst place to hide.
He hid under a moving truck that was parked on the side of the street close to where he was pulled over by a police officer. The truck pulled away and ended up running over the suspect.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported that an officer saw Shawn L. Holden, 26, run a red light. The officer directed Holden to pull over just before 7:00 am. The incident was in west Phoenix. Holden pulled over and gave the officer his driver’s license. While the officer was looking into Holden’s driving record, Holden took off running. He ran behind a convenience store.
The officer searched the area for Holden. Holden was hiding under a parked truck. At that same instant the truck driver came back and moved his truck. When he started to drive away, he ran over Holden not knowing he was hiding underneath. The officer came over and stopped the truck driver. He also called for medical assistance to help Holden who complained his back was hurting.
