Sex Crimes

Internet predators are becoming, no, are a big problem. It is just too common that these pedophiles are able to communicate with minors and then later be able to meet them face to face. It is crucial for a parent to read about these stories so they understand the realty of these types of situations.

In the rural area around Guadalupe Road, Joseph Badaracco, 53 was caught by police because Badaracco had communicated to a minor online to set up a place to meet. Police were able to meet up at the same place too.

Badaracco has been talking to minors in various chat rooms on the Internet. A Tempe police press release said that Badaracco was chatting with a girl online, and then scheduled a face-to-face meeting. When he got to the location police took him in and arrested this man from Mesa for soliciting sex from minors. When he was arrested he cooperated fully with the officers.

After the arrest police had a search warrant for his home, so took some items that were not disclosed into custody. Badaracco has been charged with five counts of luring a minor for sexual exploitation.

This is the first arrest that has occurred since the Tempe Police created a new Unit called Internet Crimes Against Children.
