It was early Wednesday morning when four men used their van to crash into an El Mirage Walgreens to steal the automated teller machine located inside.
It was around 2:40 am when the men took possession of the ATM and then took off after the store alarm went off.
Police officers determined that the robbers entered from the front door œheavily damaging it.
Once a store manager came to the Walgreens, police were able to access security camera footage. The footage showed that then four men escaped using a white Ford van. The white van had first dropped off two of the men who wore masks. He then backed up his van and drove straight into the two front doors.
Two of the masked men then entered the store where then all four worked as a team to try to get the ATM machine outside.
The ATM was attached to the floor so initially then could not move it. The driver then drove his van into the ATM to help dislodge it from the floor. That worked. The four than took the ATM and loaded it in their van. The four men took off going west on Cactus Road heading away from El Mirage Road.
The four were wearing what looked like ski masks. They also had gloves and dark coats with hoods on it as well. One of the four may have had some kind of splint on his finger.
Police are still investigating the incident.
