An Arizona armed robbery suspect still on the run.
A man robbed a Wells Fargo bank and shot into the ceiling while demanding the bank employees gives him cash. Police are looking for this suspect who robbed the bank last Friday morning.
The Wells Fargo bank is located near 90th Street and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard. It was 9:30 a.m. when the man came in wearing a fake beard, sunglasses and hat. According to Public Information Officer Sgt. Mark Clark, he took out two handguns and demanded the tellers give him some cash.
The armed robbery suspect fired two rounds into the air, grabbed the cash and fled the bank in a dark-colored sedan, which may be have been a late 90s Ford Taurus. At the time of the robbery there were about 20 customers inside. None of them were hurt. The suspect ran from the bank before police arrived.
After the man was gone, a bank employee called 911.
Clark reported that the surveillance video may help with the investigation. Police are going to try to get two bullets removed from the ceiling to be used for forensic evidence.
